Collision with Moose Leaves One Dead, Injured

One man is dead following a collision with a moose.

Early this morning, Wakaw RCMP was called to the collision on Highway 41 near Alvena.

A moose had crossed the road into the vehicles lane of travel and was hit, causing the vehicle to enter the ditch and roll several times.

The male driver was pronounced dead at the scene, and the female passenger was transported to Hospital with minor injuries.

Police say the road conditions at the time of the incident were dry and clear, and that alcohol was not involved in this accident.
