A Saskatchewan company has been acquitted of five Occupational Health and Safety charges regarding a fatal accident at a northern uranium mine.
Robwell Constructors was charged after an incident in October 2006 at Cameco’s McArthur River mine.
An employee was killed when a dewatering line recoiled and hit him after a release of pressure.
The trial took place last fall in La Ronge and the decision was released on Friday.
The judge ruled the company had taken all reasonable steps to prevent this type of incident.
