A fire is burning out-of-control near the northern community of Wollaston Lake.

Provincial fire officer Brent Krayetski says the blaze is 75 hectares in size, but at last word was just two kilometers away.

He says the fire is located southwest of the community, and the wind is blowing south.

He cautions however the direction of the wind could change.

“Well we have some issues and the wind is not forecast to hold in that direction so there may be some issues in the future with it towards a threat to communities so we’re being cautious with it that way.”

He says crews are trying to set up an anchor line near the fire.
