Dental Therapy School Closing

The National School of Dental Therapy is about to close its doors.

The institution failed to get funding from the government leaving it with no money to operate.

Dr. John Steel is an instructor at the institution.

He explains the school was resourced by the federal government but that has all changed.

He says the closure is a loss for northern Saskatchewan as many dental professionals came from the north, and returned there, too.

He’s not sure where young students will go now to get the type of education the school offered.
