Drinking Water Advisor for La Loche Subdivision

A precautionary drinking water advisory in the La Loche Poplar Point subdivision is expected to remain until at least Friday.

People should boil their water before drinking it or using it for any purpose, or drink bottled water.

Spokesman Ron Cummins says the advisory was issued Saturday, due to a power outage.

Cummins says that power outage provided an opportunity for the water pipes to become contaminated.
