Feds Set To Hire Private Eyes

The department of Aboriginal Affairs plans to hire private investigators to look into controversial elections.
In particular the firms will try to confirm or invalidate allegations made through the electoral appeals process.
Spokeswoman Genevieve Guibert says they hope the move will make things simpler for provincial branch offices.
“So this new initiative aims to retain the services of qualified resources, individuals and companies and create a list from which regional offices will draw upon.”
However there’s one small catch, the private eyes will only look at elections run under the Indian Act.
Band custom elections will not apply.
