Former Mistawasis Chief Passes Away

Earlier this week, Cecil Head, former chief of the Mistawasis First Nation, passed away.

Head was recently chief of the First Nation but was defeated in last month’s election.

Wake services are being held today at his family home,

and they will continue tomorrow at the Chief Mistawasis School.javascript:AddCode(‘EMAIL’,%205)

A funeral for Head will be held Saturday at 11 in the morning, again at the school.

Immediately following the funeral, a burial will take place at the Mistawasis Presbyterian Church cemetary.
