A former president of the First Nations University of Canada’s Saskatoon Student union has been convicted of fraud and theft over 5-thousand dollars.
32-year-old Blue Pelletier received an 18-month conditional sentence in Saskatoon Court of Queen’s Bench on Monday.
Justice Gerry Allbright ordered Pelletier to pay 20-thousand dollars restitution to the university’s student union.
Pelletier was charged in 2009 with writing checks to himself.
