Former Student President Sentenced

A former president of the First Nations University of Canada’s Saskatoon Student union has been convicted of fraud and theft over 5-thousand dollars.

 

32-year-old Blue Pelletier received an 18-month conditional sentence in  Saskatoon Court of Queen’s Bench on Monday.

 

Justice Gerry Allbright ordered Pelletier  to pay 20-thousand dollars restitution to the university’s student union.

 

Pelletier  was charged in 2009 with writing checks to himself.
