The Gabriel Dumont Institute is launching two new initiatives aimed at getting more Metis people into the trades and health sector.
GDI is partnering with industry and the federal government to launch an Aboriginal Apprenticeship Initiative.
Tavia Laliberte with GDI says this program will help Aboriginal people take advantage of the huge demand in the labour market and good paying jobs.
GDI is also partnering with the Saskatoon Health Region to offer 17 $1,000 scholarships for any Metis student from Saskatchewan who wants to go to school for a health career.
