Grass Fire Finally Out

Volunteers from the Saulteaux and Moosomin First Nations just finished battling a three- or four-day grass fire today.

Saulteaux Councillor Brent Katcheech says so far, it’s unclear if anyone was hurt, or if any buildings were lost.

He says everything still smells of smoke.

Katcheech says the fire appeared to orginate in the east, but he says so far, the cause is unknown.
