Incumbent Re-elected at Big Island Lake

Voters at the Big Island Lake First Nation have re-elected David Sandfly as chief.

He was running against two other candidates in the band elections held on Wednesday: challengers Ernest Sundown and Trevor Kahpeepatow.

The four headmen elected to council are Colleen Sandfly, Janette Kahpoonapit, Rodger Kypwayhat and Bernadine Wahpistikwan.

They will serve four-year terms.
