An Indigenous filmmaking festival is hosting an animation celebration in Regina for National Aboriginal Day.

Children are invited to take part in an animation workshop in Wascana Park with director and producer Melanie Jackson of Wapos Bay fame.

Janine Windolph is the President of mispon: A Celebration of Indigenous Filmmaking, and says the workshop is a way to promote filmmaking with kids.

Mispon will also be showing short films Tuesday evening at the new Creative City Arts Centre in downtown Regina.
