La Loche Rallies Around Homeless Family

La Loche Mayor Georgina Jolibois is thrilled by how the village has rallied to help an elder who lost her home in a fire.

Courrone Janvier’s La Loche home was burnt to the ground in a fire on May 15th.

Jolibois says residents and businesses throughout the village have been helping the family in any way they can.

Meanwhile, Janvier and her family of six have found temporary homes elsewhere.

The Metis Nation of Saskatchewan has asked its members to help support the family as well.
