Today the Saskatoon treatment centre of MACSI reopened its doors after undergoing $125,000 worth of renovations last year, most of which was done by its employees.

The 15-bed facility runs a day program as well as 28-day addictions recovery program.

Metis Nation Saskatchewan President Robert Doucette says the past three years have been spent rebuilding MNS affiliates, such as MACSI and its board.

Hundreds of thousands of dollars were misappropriated from MACSI a few years ago.

Two former board directors stand trial next year for allegedly defrauding MACSI of the missing money.

Doucette says MACSI continued to deliver its services as usual even though money was taken.
