Male Dies Suddenly Near La Ronge

RCMP are investigating a sudden death in La Ronge.

Mounties say it was shortly before 4 a.m. on Saturday that they received a call from the Lac La Ronge Indian band’s security service.

They learned an unconscious 30-year-old man had been spotted lying on the road on the Bells Point reserve.

Sergeant Paul Dawson says members provided first aid on scene and took the man to hospital but he didn’t make it.

Dawson adds an autopsy is scheduled today in Saskatoon.

The name of the man is not being released.
