Man Arrested in Black Lake Homicide

RCMP have a suspect in custody following the shooting death of a 21-year-old man at Black Lake.

The body of Joey John Yooya was found in a wooded area just east of Black Lake on Thursday.

He had been missing for two days.

An autopsy done yesterday confirmed the cause of death was a gunshot.

The homicide investigation continues with the assistance of RCMP officers from North Battleford and Prince Albert.

Police say the suspect in the case was arrested on another matter.
