Officials with the Mamawetan Churchill River Regional Health Authority have approved a plan to improve immunization rates over the next three-years.

James Irvine is the Medical Health Officer for the province’s three northern health regions.

He says four groups will be the main focus for the education and assessment program.

Irvine says issues like access to services, clinic times and locations, and transportation will be studied.

The long-term goal is to improve northern immunization rates so they exceed those of the south.
