Saskatchewan’s Ministry of Highways announced today it will be spending $66 million to repair flood-damaged highways.
Highways and Infrastructure Minister Jim Reiter says one of the highway projects is design work to raise several trouble spots on Highway 123 to Cumberland House.
Reiter says the money will come from the province, but anticipates a portion of it can be recovered through federal disaster assistance programs.
Reiter also mentioned some highways are still underwater.
He says $46 million of that is new money in addition to the $20 million that was announced in July.
