Muscowpetung Man Facing Assault Charges

A man from the Muscowpetung First Nation is facing several charges including sexual assault and four counts of assault.
Fort Qu’Appelle RCMP say the charges were laid following a report made this week by his wife.
The accusations include two separate assaults against the couple’s infant son.
Investigators say the child was choked on one occasion and bitten on the face on another.
Its believed the assaults took place over the past month.
The suspect was arrested Wednesday in Fort Qu’Appelle and is being held in custody until his next court appearance on August 25th.
