The new president of the First Nations University of Canada says he’s hopeful of securing additional revenue for the school.
Dr. Doyle Anderson says bridge building and long-term investment is needed.
He was named yesterday as the school’s new president.
A member of the Red Pheasant First Nation, Anderson currently works as a director at Idaho State University.
He believes his experience will serve him well on the job.
Anderson says he knows the students, staff and elders of the FNUC worked hard to save it last year and he’s determined to help move it forward.
