New U of S Ag Aboriginal Initiatives Position

The University of Saskatchewan now has an Assistant Dean in the Department of Agriculture, specifically dealing with Aboriginal initiatives.

Dr David Natcher has held the position since last July and is also the director of the Indigenous Land Management Institute.

Natcher says the position was created to bring together several Aboriginal projects.

Natcher says researchers are also dealing with issues like dog management on reserves, and the effect of BSE on First Nations cattle producers.
