New Video Explores Oil Spill Effects on Birds

A new video to support science education has been released by Keewatin Career Development Corporation.
The project entitled “Flight of the Pelican” was shot in the La Ronge area and also uses footage from last year’s Gulf of Mexico oil spill.
KCDC C-E-O Randy Johns says DVD copies will be distributed to schools in northern Saskatchewan.
Johns says the film explores the possible long-term effects of the Gulf of Mexico oil spill on migratory aquatic birds.
