North May Get More Officers

The province’s north will likely get some of the 30 new police officers announced by the provincial government this morning.

Out of the 30 positions announced today, three are going to North Battleford, two to Meadow Lake, and two to Estevan.

The location of the remaining 23 still has to be decided.

Chief Superintendent Russ Mirasty says that will be a decision that will be made over the next few weeks, but he expects most of the new officers will be headed to the north.
