Northern Airstrip Lights Damaged By Snowmobile

RCMP are investigating after the landing lighting system at the Stony Rapids airport was damaged.

Police say, sometime between Saturday and today, someone drove a snowmobile onto the runway.

Northern residents are being reminded to be aware of where they are snowmobiling and to stay off of airport runways.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact Stony Rapids RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
