Northerner Unhappy with How RCMP Complaint Handled

A northern man says he’s not happy with how RCMP have treated his complaint against them.
About a year ago, Ronald Yooya launched a complaint about an incident in Stony Rapids.
He says while in cells he was given a tranquilizer after breaking a chair.
He says he was given the drug against his will and then put on a plane to Prince Albert.
He says the altitude combined with the tranquilizer left him shaken and nauseated.
So far, Yooya says he’s received six updates from the RCMP but no final decision.
He wants someone to be held accountable.
RCMP say they are taking the complaint seriously but these things take time.
They say a final letter will be given to Yooya once everything’s complete.
