One-Year Anniversary, More Stable

Things are stabilizing at the school a year after the First Nations University of Canada was put into a financial crisis.

The students commemorated the five month struggle by having a ceremony to thank those who helped the school out in a time of need.

Acting President Shauneen Pete says she and the staff of FNUC are looking forward.

Last year, both the provincial and federal governments withdrew funding due to political interference from the board of governors at the time.

The school has since restructured, regained some if not all its funding, and selected their board members from across country.
