A mid June trial date has been set for a Poundmaker First Nation man facing five firearms charges.

The trial for 44-year-old Arnold Pete will be held June 15th and 16th in Cut Knife.

The charges arose from a domestic dispute in late December.

Pete is charged with two counts of uttering threats, pointing a firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm, and careless use of a firearm.

Police say he fled the scene and was arrested later.
