A researcher at the University of Saskatchewan says progress is being made in getting more Aboriginal people involved in the political process.

Loleen Berdahl is an Associate Professor of Political Science and was involved in a survey in the north last fall.

Berdahl says the Desnethe-Missinippi-Churchill River riding can be an example to the rest of the country.

Berdahl says work still needs to be done to improve Aboriginal voter turn-out across the north.
