The Regina Police Service is renewing its commitment to host a community building event.
Its fifth annual feast and round dance was held on Friday.
Cpl. Tracy Dunnigan is with the Cultural Relations Unit of the Regina Police Service and says, as an Aboriginal person, the round dance has personal significance.
Regina Police Chief Troy Hagen says it’s about getting together and having fun.
Hagen says he consulted with an elders advisory council who told him to continue the round dances for another four years.
