One Aboriginal researcher says action research is important for communities to help identify issues and change outcomes in their communities.
Dr. Charlotte Reading is embarking on a five year project partnering with a team of researchers, First Nations, the AFN and government policy makers to improve health by identifying root causes of poverty.
Reading says communities are best served when they can directly identify their own needs.
Reading was at the University of Regina yesterday talking about her upcoming work with five First Nation communities across Canada.
