Sakitawak Group Home Opens in Ile-a-la-Crosse

The ribbon-cutting for the Sakitawak Group Home was held today in Ile-a-la-Crosse.

The provincial government contributed $540,000 toward construction of the home, which will house five people.

Social Services Minister June Draude says this is the first facility for northern people with cognitive and physical disabilities.

Draude says a day home located next to the group home will also offer programs to five people.
