Some Unhappy with New Staking System

People involved with staking claims for mining companies are unhappy with a new electronic system being introduced by the province.
Over the next two years, the Ministry of Energy and Resources will be phasing in the Mineral Administration Registry Project.
Randy Studer of Durama Enterprises in La Ronge says it is the end of an era in the north, and will affect dozens of jobs and the economy.
Under the new system, companies will register their claims over the Internet, and there will be no need to physically stake out the claim.
