Sports Clothing Company Announces Bursaries

An Aboriginal sports clothing company is giving back.

Moose Meat Apparel is still a start-up company, created by University of Saskatchewan student Kendal Netmaker just last year, but this year it is giving out two bursaries: the Moose Meat Post-Secondary Low-Income Bursary for Aboriginal or non-Aboriginal students, and the Moose Meat High School Aboriginal Leadership Bursary for a full-time Aboriginal grade 12 student.

Kendal Netmaker is the founder of Moose Meat Apparel, and says offering bursaries is a good thing for the company because it shows the company wants to give back and is not just about profit.

The application deadline for both bursaries is May 31st at midnight.

Winners will be notified one week later and announced June 15th.

Moose Meat Apparel also recently won provincials for the Advancing Canadian Entrepreneurship or ACE business plan competition, and will move on to regionals next month.
