The Saskatoon Blades have asked the police to look into disparaging remarks made about First Nations people on Facebook by a someone impersonating Brayden Schenn.
The Blades say their star forward did not make those comments and they are not his views.
The hockey team says Schenn’s Facebook account can’t be viewed by the public due to extreme privacy settings, so any user on Facebook with the name ‘Brayden Schenn’ is not him.
In a statement, Schenn says he appreciates all of his fans and wants to apologize to anyone who was hurt by this person’s comment.
