Teen Killed, Several Injured In Northern Rollover

An 18-year-old woman was killed in a single vehicle rollover just north of Pelican Narrows on Saturday.

The crash took place on Highway 135, 8 km north of the community.

The RCMP say the truck had eight occupants ranging in age from 11 to 18 years.

The Mounties say seven of the eight occupants were ejected from the interior of the truck, and none of the occupants were wearing seatbelts.

A 12-year-old boy was airlifted to Saskatoon in critical condition, while the six others were treated for their injuries and released.

The 16-year-old female driver is facing three charges — impaired driving causing death, dangerous driving, and driving without a licence.

The RCMP say road conditions were good at the time and are not considered a factor.
