Meadow Lake RCMP have arrested and charged two people in connection with a break-in to a Meadow Lake drugstore.
Thirty-four-year-old Kendall Laliberte and 38-year-old Rhonda Anderson, both of Meadow Lake, have been charged.
Meadow Lake RCMP Sargeant Phil DeGruchy says nearly 7,000 pills and other drugs were stolen.
Laliberte faces five charges, including breaking and entering, and possession of a controlled substance. He’s due in court April 11th.
Anderson faces two counts of trafficking in a controlled substance and possession of stolen property. She’s due in court April 4th.
The break-in occurred March 4th, during a power outage.
Police made the arrests after searching a Meadow Lake home, where they say they found some of the drug store’s products.
Yesterday, RCMP found two shopping bags full of nearly four-thousand pills from the same drug store.
DeGruchy says that’s nearly half the total. They’re working to recover the remainder.
