Two From Poundmaker Facing Drug-Related Charges

Two Poundmaker First Nation residents facing drug possession and trafficking charges are due back in court April 19th.
Battlefords and Cut Knife RCMP arrested 47-year-old Donald Rushton and 57-year-old Darlene Baptiste yesterday, after acting on a search warrant.
Police seized 275 grams of cannabis marijuana, 63 grams of hashish and a large amount of cash from a home on the reserve.
Rushton and Baptiste are charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of the proceeds of crime.
They were released from custody, pending their next court appearance.
