Two Men Charged with Assaulting, Confining Man

Charges have been laid against two men after a serious incident on the Pelican Lake First Nation.

Twenty-seven-year-old Larry Thomas and 47-year-old Francis Hernandez are accused of assaulting and forcibly confining a man.

The incident allegedly occurred on March 7th at the Pelican Lake mall.

Details are sketchy but police say the victim is a 23-year-old male from the Witchekan Lake First Nation.

The two suspects have made their initial court appearance and are due back in North Battleford court next week.
