Warrant Issued for La Loche Woman

A warrant has been issued for an 18-year-old woman charged after a death in La Loche last summer.

RCMP say Jenelle Montgrand was charged with assault with a weapon and assault causing bodily harm after the body of a 45-year-old man was found in a backyard building on August 9th.

An autopsy was performed but the cause of death was not released.

Police did say the charges are for injuries sustained by the victim before his death.

Montgrand was scheduled to appear in La Loche court on Monday but did not appear.
