More water is flowing over a highway in La Ronge today.

The Ministry of Highways says an inch and a half of water is now running over the road north of the Montreal River bridge.

The water is running over both lanes for about fifty feet.

Highways spokeswoman Kirsten Leatherdale says the size of the water’s footprint is slightly larger than yesterday but things would have to get much deeper before the road would be closed.

She adds the water is still located at the first pier of the bridge, well below the deck.
