Wollaston Evacuees To Start Returning Home Tuesday

Close to 1,200 evacuees from Wollaston Lake and the Hatchet Lake First Nation will begin returning to their homes tomorrow.
Fire officials say the blaze that forced them from their communities is exhibiting low behavior, and conditions have stabilized.
Steve Roberts of the provincial fire centre says the fire is still about the same size, but crews have established a full perimeter between it and the community.
However, Roberts adds smoke continues to be a concern, and they are monitoring it closely.
Officials say it will take a few days to get everyone back home.
They intend to start the process by mid-morning tomorrow.
It will take many flights, as they will primarily be using planes with 35 to 40 seats.
Richard Kent of the Prince Albert Grand Council says it has been a long week for the evacuees and many are looking forward to going home.
Officials say people with respiratory conditions could possibly be held back a little bit longer if the smoke is serious enough.
