La Ronge Woman Hit By Vehicle, Then Charged

A 31-year-old La Ronge woman was charged yesterday after being hit by a vehicle in Saskatoon.

Police say at around 8:15 in the morning she was struck by a pickup in the 400 block of 20th Street East.

She was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the truck was not injured.

Investigators say the woman was not in a crosswalk and the driver was not speeding.

The woman was charged under the Traffic Safety Act with Walking into the Path of a Vehicle When Unsafe.
