Lonechild Awaits Decision on Injunction

Arguments have wrapped up in the injunction hearing for suspended FSIN Chief Guy Lonechild.

Earlier today, Lonechild’s legal counsel presented their reasons for stopping next week’s non-confidence vote, which was announced a couple weeks ago when Lonechild was suspended with pay by the Indian Government Commission.

Lawyers for the FSIN and Moosomin Chief Elliott Kahpeaysewat also presented their preliminary objections to the injunction, although their clients were not in court today.

Lonechild was in attendance, accompanied by his wife and executive assistant and other political staff.

He was disappointed that no one else from the FSIN was there.

The judge reserved his decision, noting he is aware of the impending vote and will try to make a decision before then, but is not sure he will be able to.
