New Group Homes Announced For N.B.

Two new group homes for people with intellectual disabilities will be built in North Battleford.

Social Services is providing 750-thousand dollars to cover the costs.

Some of the money will also be used to renovate another existing home.

Battlefords Residential Services Incorporated already runs five group homes in the Battlefords.

Executive Director Debra Bartlett welcomes the money.

It’s hoped construction of the new homes can begin this fall or next spring.
