RCMP Say Dead Sturgeon Lake Man Was Stabbed

Sturgeon Lake RCMP say the death of a man found near the reserve this week is being investigated as a homicide.

Police say the 21-year-old male resident of Saskatoon was the victim of a stabbing.

An autopsy was conducted on Tuesday in Saskatoon.

Police say the body was found on a grid road near the community of Sturgeon Lake Saturday morning.

The Mounties also say the victim was involved in an altercation earlier that morning.

His name has not been released.

The RCMP’s Major Crime Unit is assisting with the investigation.
