The Chief of George Gordon First Nation wants to see the Saskatchewan government recognize First Nations treaty rights.
Chief Glen Pratt was speaking to reporters today outside the legislative building in Regina during the First Nations Provincial Day of Action.
Pratt says it the start of a three-point strategy to engage the government in treaty implementation.
Pratt says the treaties need to be recognized as nation –to-nation agreements, not policies or programs.
