Stony Rapids Man Faces Assault Charge

A 23-year-old Stony Rapids man is facing charges over the alleged assault of a woman in an alley in Prince Albert.

Police say they responded to a 9-1-1 call early Sunday morning of a possible assault in progress, and found a male standing over a female when they arrived.

The suspect was “physically” arrested, while the victim was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The accused has been charged with Assault with a Weapon and Uttering Threats.

He was released on an undertaking and will appear again in Prince Albert Provincial Court on October 13th.
