Suspect In Regina Sudden Death Appears In Court

A 40-year-old man was in a Regina courtroom today facing charges of aggravated assault related to a sudden death in the city.

Fergus Standingready was arrested after a body was discovered shortly after noon on Sunday.

Regina police have not released the 43-year-old victim’s name or cause of death.

Standingready remains in custody until a bail hearing date is set.
