RCMP have charged a Deschambault Lake man following complaints of shots fired at a vehicle.
Police responded to a complaint on Sunday that two La Ronge residents were traveling west on Highway 165 — roughly 150 km southeast of La Ronge — when they passed a vehicle that was stopped on the shoulder of the highway.
The complainants allege two shots were fired towards their vehicle right after they passed the other vehicle.
Police found the suspect vehicle, arrested two adult males and seized a rifle.
Thirty-eight-year-old Daniel Moses Ballantyne, who is the alleged driver, is in custody and will appear in La Ronge Provincial Court on November 20th.
A number of charges were laid against Ballantyne, including impaired operation of a motor vehicle.
