Saskatoon Tribal Council Chief Felix Thomas says First Nation community members of the STC could have the right to vote extended to them within a few years.
Thomas notes, right now, only chiefs and delegates can select the tribal chief and vice-chiefs.
He says several things must be looked at — including cost — in order to implement a one-person, one-vote system.
But he does think the idea is achievable.
Thomas was acclaimed to his second term last Friday.
